Strategy & Business Operations Intern

As Strategy & Business Operations Intern, you’ll help to support strategic initiatives that will fundamentally improve charity: water’s position in the marketplace, and help the organization continue to grow and scale.


Responsibilities

  • You'll help support our revenue forecasting model by analyzing historical data, working with various stakeholders to track revenue against goals, and finding efficiencies in the process

  • You'll help track our internal KPIs and metrics to provide ongoing analysis and insight on the health of the business

  • You'll support the Senior Manager of Strategy and Business Operations on special data-driven projects 

Skills

You know what you're doing
You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.  You are comfortable building basic models, running analysis, and putting together decks.  You have experience not only crunching the numbers but also articulating what they mean and how they can be useful in understanding the business.  You find new and effective ways to streamline and create processes to increase efficiency.

Your attention to detail is impeccable
You know the devil is in the detail, and your meticulous nature and dedication to process trumps the threat. The integrity of our data is a core value, and you understand that it take a tremendous amount of focus to get there.  You have the ability to comprehend complex data sets without compromising accuracy.

You're independent and self-motivated
You can handle a wide-variety of tasks without constant supervision. You relish the chance to own your projects – you're confident and capable.  You’re reliable.

MBA or a minimum of 2-year work experience preferred 

Commitment

Must be able to start by September 25, 2017; Must be able to work from our NY offices at least 2-3 days a week

This is an unpaid internship - but is an exceptional opportunity to gain experience at an international non-profit with an ambitious mission. We will gladly work with your institution to give you academic credit for your experience.
