Supporter Reporting Intern

As the Supporter Reporting Intern, you’ll support the Supporter Experience Associate by helping to create an unforgettable experience for our donors and fundraisers.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll assist the Supporter Experience Associate with communication to online donors and fundraisers.

  • You’ll help manage content of our water projects at all stages of development.

  • You’ll participate in improving the process both internally and externally for how we send project completion reports.

  • You’ll help to collect data from our donors and fundraisers once water project updates have shipped.

  • You’ll help to answer all inbound inquiries related to reporting within 24 hours or less.

  • You’ll handle admin and customer service related tasks.

  • You’ll pitch ideas on how we can take personalization to the next level.

You have razor-sharp attention to detail and strong writing skills. You know the littlest nuance can have a big impact. You're comfortable editing and helping to build e-mails.

You're so organized it's embarassing

Your love for spreadsheets, note-taking and schedules is a testament to your skill: when something doesn't have a place, you make one for it and teach others to keep it that way. You can manage tracking sheets, inquiries and filing systems with a high standard of excellence.

You're articulate, direct and professional

You're more than capable of providing information concisely and effectively. You're not afraid to point out areas for improvement and propose your own plan to make it happen. You make sure you know the situation or data inside and out before communicating it to supporters or staff.

You have the basics down pat and learn fast

You know how to use Excel to put together concise documents and use online tools to manage data. You have a working knowledge of SQL, HTML and can pick up systems faster than a broadband connection. 

You're independent and self-motivated

You can handle a bunch of tasks without constant supervision. You relish the chance to own your projects. You're confident and capable of representing charity: water to our most passionate supporters.

Commitment

You’ll start in early January and commit at least 3-4 months at the charity: water office. We’ll need you for 20 hours a week and in the office at least three days a week.

Compensation

This is an unpaid internship - but is an exceptional opportunity to gain experience at an international non-profit with an ambitious mission. We will gladly work with your institution to give you academic credit for your experience.
