charity: water is re-inventing charity for the 21st century, and bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Our goal is touch 100 million people in ten years, and make real progress toward solving the global water crisis.


The Director of Digital Engagement and Fundraising will:

  • * Drive traffic, membership, engagement and activity through charitywater.org and    mycharitywater.org websites to meet aggressive organizational fundraising goals.
  • * Develop and lead online fundraising campaigns, including management and optimization of    websites, social media, mobile and other interactive channels.
  • * Develop and implement a “best in class” analytics process to ensure all digital initiatives are    measurable, optimized and meeting the organization’s objectives.
  • * Collaborate with Director of Development and other department heads in ensuring that both offline
       and online fundraising strategies are well coordinated to ensure consistency of message, look and feel.

Social Media Marketing Leadership.
With 1.3 million Twitter followers and huge communities on Facebook and other sites, charity: water is a recognized leader in online engagement and social media. But our plan is to go to a whole new level—to not only optimize those channels, but build mycharitywater.org into an unprecedented social profit engine. We are looking for an A+ player—someone who has been creating the social media marketing wave, not just riding it.

Analytics Orientation.
The ideal candidate will not only possess passion and creativity, but also a keen understanding of analytics and the power of actionable data. This leader will utilize testing and analysis to continually improve results and make intelligent business decisions.
