Web Designer.
charity: water is focused on world-class web design to drive our mission to end the water crisis in our lifetime. We're growing fast: over 70% of our donations are raised online, and design and brand are essential to our mission.

We're looking for a talented web designer with a detailed understanding for how interactive experiences should look, feel and function on the web.

We're a small and efficient staff of 28, and because of our size, every person plays an essential role in the organization. Until recently, one person has largely been responsible for all web design. She's currently balancing her role as Creative Director, and also remains the only web designer on staff. Your responsibility will be to lead most web design projects at charity: water. You'll push the design boundaries, continuing to innovate and re-invent the charitywater.org site and create new web experiences for campaigns and initiatives.

Receptionist.
charity: water is looking for a passionate people-person to join our mission and support our growing team. You'll be the first face people see when they walk through our door and the voice they first hear when they call our office. You’ll learn the ins and outs of charity: water so that you can handle any question from any donor, fundraiser or stranger that happens upon our office.

As Receptionist, your primary responsibility will be to answer the phone, filter calls and greet our visitors. You'll make introductions, make out-of-town visitors feel at home and ensure that charity: water is a well-organized, comfortable and interesting place to visit.

  • * Act as the point of contact for all of our callers and guests, fielding all calls and answering questions yourself.
  • * Own the front desk. Be ready and prepared to answer every call that comes our way during office hours.

We're seeking a leader, key architect and technical project manager to drive all of the organization's software, web development and IT systems efforts.

As Director of Technology, you'll play a key role in designing and managing development of the online platform and critical systems that constitute the backbone of our fundraising and reporting strategy. charity: water seeks a seasoned professional to be the strategic leader, visionary, and key architect to build a team and the key systems that will drive all offline fundraising efforts, including major individual, corporate, and foundation support. Working closely with the CEO and Director of Digital, you will manage a team that will pursue and cultivate high-potential major individual gifts and operations fundraising support.


In less than five years, charity: water has raised more than $38 million dollars by inspiring more than 200,000 supporters around the globe, and is beginning to scale. This position provides an ambitious professional the opportunity to play a key role in designing and implementing a fundraising program that will support rapid growth and expansion. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Development will be an integral part of charity: water's senior management team, ensuring that all program initiatives are viable from a funding perspective. We intend to be poised to raise and grant $100M+ to water programs in 2015. This represents average water revenue growth of 65% per year. In 2010, the organization saw 84% growth and 2011 is up an additional 85% YTD. We seek to grow operations funding by an average of 40% per year for the next 5 years. Our private membership program, The Well, is expected to generate approximately 1/3 of that funding each year, with additional support coming from corporations, foundations and major donors. When we started charity: water, we made a bold promise to the general public -- 100% of their donations would go directly to the field to fund water projects.

The Well is a program designed to support our 100% model. It's a small, private group of investors who have committed to fund charity: water's annual operating budget. As Curator of The Well, you'll manage the program and seek out new members to join our mission as foundational and long-term supporters.
