Campaign to watch: water balloon fight!

When we heard that Juliana and her friends were having a water balloon fight to raise money for water projects, we headed uptown to see for ourselves. The day turned out cloudier (and colder) than expected, but that didn’t stop this bold group from having a fun time — and getting some attention for their mycharity: water campaign.

    I’m a volunteer at the Downtown Boathouse and was there on the day of this event… it was cold and the threat of rain loomed over the cloudy waters.  

    Despite the weather, the response was GREAT. I was SO excited to see this Charity: Water fundraiser! Last year I donated my birthday and held a fundraiser that brought in about $2000.  After living in Africa for a year and really seeing the water need I can say that what Charity: Water is doing is AMAZING.  The only thing that would be better than helping to volunteer, attending Charity: Ball’s and sporting the merchandise would be to join your staff! Here’s to hoping that one day that will happen!!!
