Happy birthday to the following September Campaign fundraisers (they share charity: water’s birthday!). They’ve given up their birthday gifts to help bring clean water to Central African Republic:
Allie’s turning 13: With the help of her friends and family, Allie has already raised enough to serve 18 people in C.A.R. with clean water. Her goal is $500 — we can’t wait to see her get there!
Tommie’s turning 36: He could imagine living without the small things — i.e. his Starbucks in the morning — but says he couldn’t fathom living without clean drinking water. He’s grateful his son spends his days in school, not walking for water. Now he wants to make this a reality for more kids.
Bazil’s turning 90: Bazil says the big 9-0 seemed daunting at first. But after learning how many people don’t live past their fifth birthday, he started a campaign to help. “I’m not scared of turning 90 anymore. In fact, I’m celebrating my birthday like never before.” He’s more than a third of his way to his $900 goal.
Thanks for using your birthday to change the world.
