Thank you for an amazing 2012

It’s been an incredible year at charity: water. We made this video to capture some of the highlights of 2012 and to celebrate you, our amazing supporters. But the year is not over yet. You can still donate and help people in need. 100% directly funds clean water projects.

My intention is not to be negative because I support fully any cause to protect and supply safe water. I will however share that your video could have been all that it was AND send a message. I would recommend text that shares what you’ve done, statistics, stories. That would be motivating. That is what would take a first time visitor and bring them to action. Just my thoughts, keep up the good work.

I was drawn to donate to “Tapped” by their very inspiring videos.

I agree. I also wonder if only the outsiders did all the work, because that is how the video makes it look. Was it cooperative? You can’t see it at all if it was.

      What’s Tapped?

The blog is excellent, listing where work is going forward, who is partnering & various solutions. The video, tho full of action & splendid photography, moves a bit too fast for me to really see & understand. Please slow down/add words…label the solutions & map where this is happening. Thanks!

Kinda agree with the above. Charity Water is great and your comms are second to none in the NGO world. I’m unclear as to the message in this video though, and it doesn’t convince me. Without that clear messaging, it looks a bit like a video clip montage of western saviours zooming in to save the day in poor countries. Anyway sorry, this is what you get when you open a blog up to comments! Keep up your great work Charity Water :)

If you’ve watched any of Charity Water’s videos this year you will see they always share statistics on what they’ve achieved and how many people they’ve provided clean water too. Take this video in the spirit it’s meant to be – a collection of amazing highlights of the year pulled together into an inspiring and moving and uplifting video.

I agree with Natalie. charity: water does an excellent job of sharing its message and providing data. I’ve been following and donating for years and I personally appreciated this video – it provided a fitting wrap up to efforts I was already familiar with. I didn’t need data, since I recognized what was going on in the video.

To all those who didn’t like the video, just remember there are multiple audiences they can and should cater to. This video caters well, I think, to their long time followers.

i think the video is incredible and really shows that water is by a very large measure “life giving and joy giving.” great job. really great job. certainly you’re not doing this for fun, but for people who need water. clean water. i like it. keep doing it. keep it simple. people are drawn to simple
