Chloe pledged her 1st birthday to raise money for clean water projects this year.
She's the adorable six-month-old daugther of our designer, Greg, and one of the youngest people in our history to have pledged their birthday. We can't wait to see what she does with it come October.
CHLOE'S TAKE ON BIRTHDAYS:
How much do you know about birthdays? What have you heard? I actually know a lot about birthdays because my daddy works at charity: water. Every night when he comes home from work, he’s talking about how birthdays can change the world. My daddy’s so smart.
What are you looking forward to most about your 1st birthday? We’re going to have a BBQ in the park. It will be a lot of fun, but mostly, I’m looking forward to being with my friends, family, and sitting up straight without anyone helping me.
What's the wildest thing you've seen at a birthday party? I’ve been to two birthday parties so far (I know... I’m quite popular). Both parties were pretty crazy, but the wildest thing I saw was an old woman dancing to C+C Music Factory. Even though the song says “Everybody dance now!” she probably shouldn’t have been dancing.
Why did you decide to do a birthday campaign for clean water? I have lots of toys... animals, rattles, even a rainforest activity mat that plays music. So, I don’t need more toys. I just want other babies to be happy too.
Are you even capable of eating cake? What will you eat instead?! Right now, I can’t eat cake. I don’t eat anything but milk. My parents are talking about giving me oatmeal soon, but they’re scared. I think by the time I’m one-year-old, I can eat cake.
What's your favorite game to play at a birthday party? I really like to see how many toes I can fit into my mouth. I also like throwing things on the ground and making my parents pick them up.
