UPDATE 07.28.08:  The first Saks Fifth Avenue wells in Honduras have been built.  The charity: water team went out to visit the projects last week. Read the story and see photos of the wells here >
More than $140,000 was raised at the charity: water Summer Gala on the 10th of June, 2008.  100% of the money will go to freshwater projects in Central America, India and Sub-Saharan Africa. The event was held on the 10th floor of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City and over 1,000 guests attended. The evening also marked the close of the partnership with charity: water and Saks Fifth Avenue for this year.  Overall, the 2-month-long effort has raised more than $500,000 for water projects, funding 100+ wells in developing nations.
