WHAT IS CHARITY? | FAQ | tell a friend |
Forever Freedom International.
We at FFi feel strongly about the preservation of our air, our water, and our land. We realize that the earth is our only home, and we must protect it from abuse. We have already been contributing to cleaner air through the spreading of MPG-CAPS™ around the world, and together, we have made a difference. But the problem is growing, and so is our determination to contribute to the solution. FFi has made a philanthropic commitment to contribute in a positive way to the preservation of the beauty and resources of our green earth. Our immediate focal point is on one of our most precious commodities : water. charity: water is a non-profit initiative bringing clean water and basic sanitation to people in developing nations. The organization works to raise awareness about the world’s water crisis by educating the public through multimedia exhibitions and high-profile events. FFi has joined forces with charity: water to help raise money and promote intelligent giving. We believe in this mission and in a sense of responsibility for the well-being of the earth and all of the life it supports. FFi is “selling” empty water bottles as symbols of the gift of clean pure water you can give to needy areas of the world. If you think about it, an empty water bottle can make an intense statement to those of us in developed countries where clean water is plentiful. It can be a heartfelt reminder of how precious clear water is to less fortunate parts of the planet. Give a $20 bottle of freedom water to a friend or loved one, and provide clean water for 20 years to a person you’ve never met. One hundred percent of your gift goes to water and sanitation projects. ONE IN SIX PEOPLE ON THE PLANET DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO SAFE, CLEAN DRINKING WATER. FFi is helping to aid innocent victims of a polluted world through specific projects that bring safe, clean drinking water to communities in Africa, India, and South America with water wells and other water projects. Last year FFi funded a water well that changed the lives of Uganda school children in the heart of Africa. We visited the site and met many of the children who would benefit from our well, and it was a moving experience. We are serious about our concern for the basic needs of people for whom clean water is a luxury. |
