When we hit the goal of raising $4500 by September 20th I'll be in running around in SPANDEX, is all I'll say for now.

I've been challenged to "Go big or go home," and our new goal is $10,000! I put together a team and "$10k on 10/1" was born. It's a 24 hour Social Media-thon with the main ingredient being 30 minute live Q & A Google Hangouts with Entrepreneurs and thought leaders. THE SPARK:
I had the opportunity to hear the founder of Charity Water (Scott Harrison) speak for the 2nd time. The message and the work they are doing by bringing clean water to developing countries is truly amazing.

In September the focus is on bringing water to a remote village in India called, Orissa. I have friends who are from India and I've heard the stories of growing up on a farm and not having many of the basic necessities we take for granted--yep that includes water.

So I decided to do something about it by starting this campaign. What if we could bring clean water to 10 families by raising $4500 in September. (we'll be able to help over 20 families once we hit the $10K mark)

THE SPANDEX:
I ran a Spartan Race (Obstacle Course Race) in August and promised that I wouldn't do this madness again unless it was for charity (I said it very lightly, not knowing this campaign would be coming).

Well here we are, I've signed up for another Spartan Race which will take place on Saturday, September 21 in Killington, Vermont.

When we hit the goal of $4500, I will run the race in a bright yellow (charity: water colors) spandex speed suit.

It's not about comfort, it's about charity (yikes).

THE REALITY:
In many developing countries, women and children walk for hours, up and down mountains, just to collect water that can make them really sick.

Help me play a small part in solving the water crisis -- donate to my campaign.

100% of everything we raise will directly fund water projects. And when those projects are finished, charity: water will send us proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted.
