Hiiii,
So, my birthday is around the corner and I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. I love birthdays because they are a great excuse to see all my favorite people together, but I want to celebrate differently this year. I don’t usually ask for presents, but I’ve decided to make an exception.
Instead of dinners, shots, flowers, 69.42-carat diamonds or balloons (personal favorite), I am hoping all my friends and family will join in donating to charity: water and help give clean water to so many people who need it.
Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday ☹. It doesn't have to be this way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that can help provide clean water to communities around the world.
The great part is that charity: water funds their operating costs separately through a group of private donors, so 100% of the money you donate will directly fund these water projects around the world, AND when the projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact impact we made.
I really can't think of a better birthday gift this year ☺
Happy Belated BDAY!! I hope you have the most magical adventure! Peace and love!
Cutting it a little close!
