When I set out for this campaign, my original goal was $640 for June 4th, my birthday. However, upon reflection, I realized I set my goal intentionally low so I can absolve myself of embarrassment if I underperform and give myself a pat on the back for "reaching my goal," while knowing that I could've done better. So I changed it to $1000, thinking that I probably won't achieve this, but I can push myself to raise more for those in need, which was the whole point anyway...So I am beyond grateful to all of you who made my 30th birthday the most special one since I've been born.
