You helped fund a water point and sanitation for a school in Ethiopia, implemented by our local partner Relief Society of Tigray. We rely on the expertise of local partners like Relief Society of Tigray to choose the best solution for each unique situation. In this case, Relief Society of Tigray’s thorough understanding of how to implement effective, sustainable water projects in their area led them to choose a water point and sanitation.
After our partner works with the school to assess their specific needs and determine the best solution, the school will receive a water point paired with sanitation facilities, which include a block of latrines or toilets and handwashing facilities.
Along with implementing water projects, our local partners also facilitate sanitation and hygiene initiatives to help promote everyone’s long-term health. These initiatives are often championed by community members themselves, who work hard to create positive change within their school.
Clean water means education, income, and health—especially for women and girls. It truly changes everything. Thank you for funding clean water and transforming futures for 380 people in Ethiopia!
