My campaign has ended and with your help, we have raised $625.00 which will enable 15 people have access to clean water. Over half of the diseases these people deal with will be eliminated by having access to clean water. Thank you so much for joining me in this campaign!
A friend wrote and shared a story her father had told years ago. During the Great Depression her father grew up in a small town where three major railroad lines intersected. His father was a mechanic in a garage where her father would work full days each Saturday to earn a quarter. Her Dad recounted that during the 1930's many hobos would be found in town as they crisscrossed the country hopping freight trains. They would come by the homes in town looking for food. Some town folk willingly dished out an extra plate from the family meal and some didn't. When a family was willing to share, the hobo would chalk the outside fence post as he departed as a sign to those who followed that this was a hospitable home. Her conclusion is that she hoped and prayed we would all strive to be the kind of folk whose fence posts will be chalked...a mark that reminds us that we can love because God first loved us.
Please consider joining my campaign to help 50 people have access to clean water. Their lives will be changed for the better and so will yours! If you have already helped, thank you so much!!
