Odile, a mother of seven in western Côte d’Ivoire, used to struggle to provide her family with water and income. After a project was constructed in her community and a Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) was established, she gained both reliable water and financial opportunity. With her first loan, she started a small market, repaid it successfully, and expanded her business with a second loan. Today, her earnings help cover school fees, housing for her older children, and future savings — giving her family stability and hope for a brighter future.
