Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is located in sub-Saharan Africa. It's the second largest country in Africa and is home to over 200 ethnic groups with nearly as many languages. It has been the stage for violent political conflicts for decades, and while the child mortality rate for kids under five years old is dropping across Central Africa, the DRC lags behind.

We're working with schools and communities to install hand-pumps for clean water and introduce greater sanitation, two of the best ways to give kids better health and a better life.
