Thanks to our local partner HELVETAS USA, support from the surrounding community, and your generosity, 57 people in Madagascar have access to clean and safe water!
You helped fund a water point and sanitation for a Health Center/Clinic in Madagascar, implemented by our local partner HELVETAS USA. We rely on the expertise of local partners like HELVETAS USA to choose the best solution for each unique situation. In this case, HELVETAS USA’s thorough understanding of how to implement effective, sustainable water projects in their area led them to choose a water point and sanitation.
After our partner works with the Health Center/Clinic to assess their specific needs and determine the best solution, the Health Center/Clinic will receive a water point paired with sanitation facilities, which include a block of latrines or toilets and handwashing facilities.
Along with implementing water projects, our local partners also facilitate sanitation and hygiene initiatives to help promote everyone’s long-term health. These initiatives are often championed by community members themselves, who work hard to create positive change within their Health Center/Clinic.
Clean water means education, income, and health—especially for women and girls. It truly changes everything. Thank you for funding clean water and transforming futures for 57 people in Madagascar!
The remainder of the cost of this project was funded by individual donations for a total of £50,171.20
