This campaign closed on Dec 31, 2013 33-26 ride brought clean water to Svay Sor and 21 other projects.
33-26 for charity: water is the a story of 10 riders, and a journey from Bondi Beach, NSW on Boxing Day morning, arriving at Noosa Main Beach, QLD , Australia on New Years Eve.
In just 6 days, the team will tackle over 1300kms with our goal of raising $100 000 for charity: water.
The ride itself is just a small chapter of this ever growing story.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
We use it everyday… it fuels our bodies to do what we ask of them. Without water, our endurance endeavours would be impossible.
Do we ever stop to think, how much we use … how we depend on it in the races we do.
It’s our life blood.
How lucky are we that we have life’s most needed resource at our disposal. Not only that, we have access to clean, filtered water that doesn’t make us sick.
Can you imagine if we didn’t have access to that.
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we need your help.
Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
All donations made to 33-26 ride’s campaign
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
