The reason why I chose this organisation is that this is one of my favourite charities and I think they are doing amazing for people in developing countries, ensuring they get easy access to clean drinking water. What amazes me is that 100% of our donation completely go to helping the people directly, and the administration costs come from sponsorship, which I know is not easy to come by. They must have been working hard to fund raise money for administration costs.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Also, I had watched the founder's video a long time ago, and the memory of people drinking dirty water for some reason stuck with me ever since. Recently, I watched his latest video and it renewed my memory and I feel for people not having access to clean water and they end up having so many health problems and not having a chance to lead normal lives.

Many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We are very privileged to be able to drink clean water anytime anywhere including drinking straight from the tap in our homes.

Also, I found out that some of the children selflessly decided to forgo their presents for donations to this organisation, and it has put me to shame. Lol. They have such big hearts at a young age (!) and I would love to do the same. God bless these little children.
