I'm Aryan Shah, and this is my second campaign to raise funds for people without access to clean water. We had a great fundraiser last year and raised over $1300!
It has always intrigued me how we seem to have an unlimited source of water, flowing through our kitchen taps, fridges, and showers. The question that is puzzling though is that how was such a polarized and unequal spectrum of people created. On one end, the water never seems to run out, but on the other end, there are people who have to walk several miles just to obtain some clean water.
This end of the spectrum contains about a billion people. Let that sink in. One-seventh of the world's population has to walk an average of 3.5 miles to get drinkable water.
I believe that it is our job to do anything that we can to help these people, as water is something that everyone in the world deserves, no matter where they live.
In order to put me in the shoes of the people who have to walk for their water, I will run 100 miles over the next 20 days, starting Monday, July 19th, 2021. I will be updating my progress on this page after every run, so be on the lookout for that.
This fundraising campaign asks you for a small donation of any amount that is suitable for you, and every dollar counts.
Thanks again for any contributions, and email any questions that you may have to RunForWaterInMay@gmail.com, I am happy to answer them.

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
Make your check payable to charity: water. Write the code below in the memo so we can track it to the correct campaign.
