Recently I completed the City2Surf and whilst running it was a welcome relief to get to a water station and drink a cup of cool clear water. But for many people around the world this simple thing would be a luxury.
So imagine if you had no clean water. Imagine walking hours to the nearest river to collect water for your family -- water that’s not even clean. Imagine giving that water to your kids.
So next I have entered the Wild Endurance 100kms which takes place over 36 hours (http://wildendurance.gofundraise.com.au/page/TheOldDog) to help raise funds for people that don't have clean water. My target is to get a million Followers on my blog www.68anda6pack.com and that they feel inspired to donate a dollar each (or more if they choose) to fund $1,000,000 to provide clean water for 50,000 people.
So whilst having to drink dirty water might seem unimaginable to us, it's a reality for 800 million people in developing countries.
After learning more about charity: water's work, we know we can make a difference in the global water crisis. We're supporting charity: water to help build clean water projects for people in need.
Please help us by donating on this page.
100% of the money we raise will go directly water project costs, funding long-lasting clean water solutions for people in need. When the projects are finished, charity: water will show us the exact communities we've helped using photos and GPS coordinates.
Please join us and help give clean water!

It melts my heart to know a lot of people out there don't even have the luxury of water. I hope my little donation can help address their needs. My prayers go our to them. Thank you OldDog for this initiative.
The donation below was from George DaBall, who generously donated his winnings when he bet against my beloved Manly footy team in the Grand Final. I thought I should toss in another $100 in appreciation!
The Old Dog.
Winnings from Manly versus Rooster $10 footy bet plus another $10 for good measure
