For my birthday this year, I want your help to give something awesome: water.

My birthday is coming up. You all know I'm not big on the whole present-buying racket for holidays. As an adult, I research and buy things as I need them in my life; I don't need to have others buy them for me or seek out a random thing just to give something.

For my birthday this year, as with every year: I don't need anything. I'm very content with what I have.

I want your help to gift something that someone actually needs. Charity:water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months).

I donated a little bit of money toward someone else's campaign earlier this year and love the mission this charity has. I want to donate throughout the year to help other people's fundraisers for charity:water.

We have easy access to water even with fairly low reservoirs at home during drought conditions. These communities live with no consistent access to fresh, drinkable water.
