Be a hero on my birthday and bring clean water to the 800 million people who are living without access to it.
Hi, Friends! About a year ago, we donated $1,160.08 to the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief fund after I offered eBooks and signed copies of my first print Lifehacked book for any donation amount of your choosing.
This year I am dedicating my birthday to help charity: water build clean water projects around the world. Let's save some lives and make a difference. Let's raise $1,000 (or more!) together and provide clean water for a whole lot of people.
Each day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand Filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
According to research from the University of East Anglia, providing free drinking water in schools could be key to helping people in developing countries lift themselves out of poverty. So let's stop talking about how bad poverty is in different countries, and actually help get them out of it.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
As an incentive, I gave away free copies of my Lifehacked book to anyone who donated.

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
