While we were in Ethiopia last summer picking up Julianne Fanose, we saw first hand the struggles endured by people living without fresh drinking water. We saw children...very, very young children carrying water jugs for miles just to have clean water to drink. It is so sad to think these kids are the lucky ones...at least they had access to clean water. I cannot imagine watching the children that have to gather their water from muggy, germ infested puddles. It just isn't fair! What if that was your child? Wouldn't you pray and hope someone in the world would help your village build a well?

If you are like me, you WANT to help, but just don't know where to start. That is why I started this group! Will you please team with Friends of Fanose to provide clean drinking water to our a village of deserving people in Africa?

Did you know that more than a billion people don't have access to safe drinking water. I don't mean that their pipes don't work; I mean that they have to walk hours each day to collect dirty water from stagnant ponds and muddy rivers. And the crazy thing is that for so many people, like for us here, clean water runs in lakes under their homes and village. But they don't have the drilling equipment or the money to reach it.

Just $5,000 builds a well to serve a community of 250 people. Our goal is to raise $5000 towards a well in the next three months.

If we meet our goal in the next three months, we will have the opportunity to actually SEE and moniter a "Friends of Fanose" well being built! How cool is that?
