At the end of June I turn 26 and this year I am asking for donations rather than gifts. For the past seven months I have been incredibly fortunate to travel and explore the world. During this time, the lack of clean, safe drinkable water has become incredibly apparent. Since the day I landed in Bangkok I have been constantly checking whether the tap water is safe or not and, in many cases, purchasing bottled water; many locals have no choice in the matter. We can help change that.

I'm asking $26 from everyone I know. Last fall, I was introduced to charity: water by a friend who ran a successful campaign and I am incredibly impressed with the dedication and support of this organization. Not only are they providing clean water projects to developing countries, they communicate and inform project sponsors—hopefully you—about the progress! Projects take about 18 months and once completed, you learn the locations and names of communities we help.
