Hi there. I make pancakes. I'm not an artist, I'm a dad, but I make shaped pancakes because it makes my kids smile. They are 5 and 3. They LOVE pancakes. Know what they love even more? Clean water.

So, I'd like to put my marginal pancake skills toward a cause of bringing clean water to those who don't have it. 663 million people on this planet don’t have access to clean water. Nearly 700 million!! That’s 1 in 11 of us. That's absurd. It’s 2015. Not having flying cars can be forgiven. Lack of drinking water can’t.

1 out of every 11 people on this planet are drinking water out of filthy rivers, lakes, and water holes. Water contaminated with all manner of parasites, bacteria and diseases.

That's unacceptable, and my family wants to do something about it. We are participating in the September Campaign of charity: water, because we believe every person deserves access to a clean water source.

Here's how it’ll work:

Donate $100 [or more] to this campaign, and you can request any kind of pancake. Anything. Fire up your imagination...and I’ll fire up my griddle, and do my best. (Apologies ahead of time if your walrus pancake looks more like Jabba the Hut, or vice versa). Leave either your email/instagram/twitter handle I will then email/instagram (@ThePancakeDad)/tweet (@LobShots) you photos & a time-lapse video of your pancake.

Cost and logistics of mailing pancakes are difficult. However, if you donate $1,000 or more, I will package up that pancake and mail it anywhere in the USA. Flying flapjacks!

(I had to increase the price per pancake b/c it has become a full-time job to make them! Amazing so many of you want them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.)

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects for people in need. And when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the specific community we helped bring this vital, life-giving resource.

You can give a little or a lot. The craziest thing we can do is nothing.
