Hey everyone!

As most of you know, my birthday is coming up on Wednesday, August 11. Rather than go through the annual semantics and griping concerning how it's impossible to shop for the guy that already has everything he wants and all that, let's make it real simple and let's just give all of the birthday goodwill, token gifts, and love to people that could actually use it right now.

Over the course of the past year, I've had the good fortune of working with a FANTASTIC organization called "Charity : Water" both on an individual basis and via the label and some of the bands. We teamed up with Sienna Miller immediately following the earthquake in Haiti and made the documentary to the right to raise awareness/funds for the cause (note the opening track :) ), This Will Destroy You recorded an exclusive track with all proceeds benefitting the efforts, and Tyson from All-American Rejects launched the "Don't Hate On Haiti" t-shirt campaign, which has raised over $15,000 to date. That's enough to build 3 clean water wells in Haiti!

Anyway, for my 34th, here's a real simple birthday fund where you can throw down however much you want and 100% of it will go straight to people that actually need it. No bureaucratic holdup, no red tape.

Don't send presents to the house. Don't buy me a shot. Don't buy me a beer. Take whatever you'd spend on either and give it to a cause that I believe in entirely.
