Every day, 5,000 kids under 5 die from water-related illnesses. Pearl is celebrating her 1st birthday. Let's help!
My first birthday is Friday. I've never had to worry about clean water, or even healthy water for my mother to drink so she could produce me milk. I'm thankful for a happy, healthy first year. I recently learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.
I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know, which is pretty affordable if you ask my brother. He even donated! Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped. My brother just got word that he helped a community build a well in rural Nepal. There were pictures, too!
Please celebrate my healthy first year by donating to my birthday campaign!
