On May 23rd, 2010 I turned 25 years old. This year instead of asking things and money, I asked friends & family to donate money for a well I am sponsoring with charity:water. 1 in 8 people in the world are without clean water. 1 in 8! Heartbreaking statistic. Unclean water and a lack of basic sanitation kills 42,000 people every week, which is more than all forms of violence, including war. That fact is completely unacceptable and should make every one of us want to do something about it.

I will was fortunate enough to go to Ethiopia on June 8 with a small team from charity:water to see these people and wells firsthand. It was eye opening and life changing to say the least. You can see pictures from my trip here: http://bit.ly/ChuckEthiopia

My goal is to raise $5,000 which would build one well and provide clean drinking water for 250 people. Please donate whatever you can. Everything, big or small, helps.
