Hello,
My name is Clark Bockelman. For those of you that know me, I hope that is proof that this is for real, and for those of you that do not know me, stick with me.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilet is clean.
Many people around the world don’t have that luxury. To be exact, one out of nine people do not have access to safe drinking water. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world, and by donating to charity: water, you can help them do that!
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I'm going to climb two mountains in Ecuador to help raise awareness for those in need of safe drinking water, and you can do your part to help out. If I can go climb two 19,000+ foot (5800m) mountains, then I think most people can help out and donate a few dollars.
Anything you can give is a huge help, and remember, you are awesome even if all you can give is $1.
The best part is, 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
So please, help out the families who need it most, and someday soon you'll see their smiling faces.
