The ICS community understands the importance of critical infrastructure and what automation can bring to the delivery of key services like power, transportation and … water.
Most of us have no idea what it’s like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink — even the water in our toilets is clean! But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. It is amazing what a difference basic water systems can make to a village that doesn’t have ready access to clean water.
There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. And these systems are monitored by charity:water using a SCADA system.
100% of the money we donate will be used to build clean water projects. I will match dollar for dollar the first $15,000 donated in this campaign. Most importantly, 100% of every dollar you donate will go directly to providing the life-changing gift of clean water where it’s needed most. charity: water will even report back with details of where your money went, and how it’s helping.
Previous S4 charity:water campaigns have raised $64K and built or repaired water systems for villages in Uganda and Sierra Leone. Over 19,200 people have daily access to clean water every year due to the S4 community's past efforts. Let's do more!
