Help me raise $4000 to give water to over 130 people in need into the future.

Every day we take for granted having access to clean water to drink. But around the world there are over 783 million people who don't have this privilege. They have to walk miles to get dirty and unsafe water. Water that causes diseases, deaths, keeps kids out of school and prevents women from working.

I believe this is unacceptable and would like to do my part to raise awareness about this Global Issue and help at least one community gain access to clean and safe water. For this reason on the 3 December I will walk 150km carrying the equivalent of 20kg over 3 days with the objective of raising $4,000 US or over 130 people getting access to clean water.

Each day women and children travel on average 6km to fill a 20 litre jerry can that weighs 20kg when filled with water. The 150km I am planning to walk is the distance women and children would travel over 25 days to collect drinking water for their families.

By sharing this burden I am hoping to spread awareness about the challenge women and children face each and every day to collect water whilst raising funds that will benefit charity:water and ensure they have access to clean drinking water closer to their homes in the future.

Just $30 can give clean water to one person, and $10,000 can fund a well that can serve an entire community for years to come. Help me with whatever donation you can to reach my goal of raising $10,000 and giving water to one community in need.

100% of the money raised will be used to build clean water projects for people in need, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
