Right?! I am getting older! It's ridiculous!
On a more serious note, many of us have felt like we couldn't do much to stem the tide of the pandemic raging over the last two years. We've quarantined, worn masks, gotten vaccinated, but all of that feels like very little in the face of a pandemic that has now raged across the entire face of the world. It feels like very little in the face of so much loss.
While there is likely little more we can be doing to help there, there is another place we can help. That is with clean water. Clean water access improves health outcomes, economic outcomes, and educational outcomes in dramatic ways. It frees up time that allows our sisters, and brothers, to advance and grow in ways they could not before.
So, this birthday season (for me) let's see how much good we can do. Let's take some control back do some good in the world with it. Any amount you can donate helps, but I am turning 38 this year so $38 might be a good number.
charity:water's operating costs are covered by private donors, so all your donations here will go directly to the cost of clean water projects in areas that are in dire need. It's a great model, and one that helps maximize our impact.
