Ramadan is a time when Muslims fast from dawn to sunset. We abstain from food and drink. It is an opportunity to be more mindful of the resources we have and be more appreciative.

Participating in the Ramadan fast allows one to also "walk in the shoes" of someone who does not have enough to eat or drink - namely clean water for essentials.

What would you do for clean water? For the 703 million people living without it, the answer is anything. And they do: they walk miles every day, in treacherous conditions and extreme heat, just to access water that makes them sick — or worse.

That’s why we are doing this fundraiser during Ramadan. charity: water is allowing us to raise awareness about the lack of clean water and to do something to help those who would do anything for water that’s safe to drink.
