I’m not one to fuss over my birthday, but this year I’m super excited to give up my birthday for charity:water!

I love Water! If I’m not golfing, I love to be in the water, swimming, floating, and definitely the best hydration drink out there. There is nothing like water to quench the thirst and any alcoholic beverages are made with water ;) so hey it’s pretty great.

Charity:water is an amazing orgnaization that goes out and builds wells providing clean drinking water for developing countries. Every dollar donated goes directly to building these wells and other clean water projects. If we raise $222, we will give 7 people access to clean water.

This year I’m turning another year older in my 20s so I’m asking for any dollar that has a 2 in it, $2, $12, $62. All of it will be going to build freshwater projects in developing countries.

I’m spoiled by always have clean drinking water around the corner and like many of us I have no idea what it's like to be thirsty.

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Almost a billion people in the world are living without clean water. And every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. 30,000 people will die this week alone. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

My birthday wish this year is for someone to have a birthday next year through clean drinking water.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, about 18 months, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. How cool is that? You can see where your money helped make someone’s day life changing.
