A trip to Ethiopia has changed my life forever. I saw how people live without access to clean and safe drinking water. It means that every day they travel long distances and carry huge cans with water. The whole way might take 2-4 hours. They take water from ponds and even though the water looks clean it is highly contaminated with animal waste, worms and diseases.
Access to clean water is one of the biggest obstacles to education facing girls in rural Ethiopia.
On the 3rd of September I have my 33rd birthday. Instead of gifts I would love your support of my birthday campaign for building wells with clean drinking water. 100% of what we raise will be sent directly to the field to fund these projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
I believe that together we can change this world and help people. No matter who you are or what is your income it’s important that you are not indifferent to everything that happens on the planet.
