My students and I have been learning about water scarcity in Africa. We've learned some shocking statistics- like 1 in 10 people globally don't have access to clean drinking water; 844 million people around the world! Without clean, easily accessible water, families and communities are locked in poverty for generations. Dirty water kills more people than any other war or violence. Women and girls often bear the biggest burden, hauling (dirty) water for their families and often do not go to school.
100% of proceeds to Charity Water goes directly to support these projects, building wells for communities in rural Africa. Donations of any amount are so deeply appreciated to helping our cause. We will keep you posted on exactly where in Africa the wells will be built. Together we can make a big difference ❤
