Why Ipsos is fundraising for clean water

663 million people in the world live without clean water.

That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep kids out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

At Ipsos, we are committed to educational access via our corporate social responsibility program and the Ipsos Foundation. Clean water helps keep kids in school.

This is why Ipsos SMX is partnering with charity: water to launch this fundraising campaign. With our help, charity: water can continue to build clean water projects such as drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters for communities around the world.

If our team can raise $5,000 USD by June 30th, 2017, Ipsos has agreed to match it, for a total of $10,000 USD!

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Help us in this fundraising effort by donating, reaching out to your networks, and spreading the word to help us meet and exceed our goal. If you have a birthday coming up, why not suggest donations to this effort in lieu of gifts? This is also a great effort to share with clients you are close with to reiterate our dedication to corporate social responsibility.

Together, we can make a difference. Thank you!
