Why Jay Brown is fundraising for clean water

5 years ago, I asked my friends to forego any sorts of presents or congratulations for my birthday and donate to provide clean water to people across the globe. During that campaign, we raised almost $2,000.

5 years later, many people around the world still don’t have the luxury of clean water. Every day, 1,400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. In honor of my 30th birthday, I would ask each of you to consider a $30 donation towards this campaign.

To provide extra incentive, I have a few special surprises for those who would like to donate at a larger level:
