The Kelly Galloway Foundation (The KGF) was brought on by the close friends of our dearest departed, Kelly Galloway. **We used to think dying of dehydration was something that took weeks, and hardly could happen in this first world America. We all got the wake up call we needed when Kelly passed at a music festival we were all at due to dehydration. We didn't see the signs, but she did. In her final hours, she made it her new mission to help get clean water to people who needed it. She knew she did not want any others to suffer in the way she was suffering that evening. Unfortunately she was too far gone and after seeking help multiple times and being told "you're fine" we all believed it. Later that evening we lost the beam of sunshine that brought us all together, made us laugh, made us feel heard and cared for, and made us feel loved. The loss was immense. The KGF is here to do what we can to see out her attempt to heal the world. ** Our mission statement: "To properly represent the spirit of Kelly Galloway and create a safe space for anyone in need of assistance in a music festival setting. To spread awareness of dehydration and raise money to get clean water to developing countries." ** We will be debuting our first KGF safety booth at a music festival out in the Mojave Desert September 23-25th. In this booth we will provide information of dehydration and what warning signs to look out for. We will provide UNLIMITED FREE WATER to all attendees, along with a safe space to come and relax if they are starting to feel anxious or uncomfortable or sick during the weekend. We will be giving out fun trinkets to play with and distract the mind as a homage to Kelly's childlike humor. We will also have free lollipops and gum and snacks to help keep attendees prepared if they didn't come prepared for the weekend. Most importantly, our volunteer staff will be on call at all times of the weekend in case of any emergency with an attendee. We are Kelly's "Spiritual Guides" for the weekend, and if anyone is going through a hard time or bad head space we will be there to calm them down and talk them out of their heads. ** Through community and caring about the health and safety of one another, we will channel at least just a fraction of the good that Kelly Galloway demonstrated her entire life. Though 24 years is a short time on earth, her impact will be felt for years more to come. ** "If you need a hug, a high five, gum, or a friend, I'm here for you!!
