I've spent countless hours running on roads and trails for my own benefit, but it's about time to put some of that effort towards a greater good.
Through charity: water, I've learned that more than 700 million people are living without clean water, and they walk miles every day, in treacherous conditions and extreme heat, just to access water that makes them sick — or worse.
On June 21st, alongside friends from Birmingham, AL and some new friends in Oregon, I will join a group of 12 runners who will cover over 200 miles of Central Oregon to help bring awareness to this issue.
If you donate to our campaign, 100% of every dollar you donate will go directly to providing the life-changing gift of clean water (it only takes $40 to provide a lifetime of clean water to one person). Charity: water will even report back with details of where your money went, and how it’s helping.
