Christmas read-a-thon is a challenge for anyone who wants to take it up. Here's the challenge:

You have to read a book that you've never read before, and read the whole thing before Christmas day. Try to get ten people or more to sponsor you £10 or more to do it. Once you've done the challenge, tell us and donate the money here.

We have a book to recommend you - my new book "Jeff and the firefly". The book costs just £10, and the whole £10 goes to chairty:water, so if you read this book, not only do you raise money from your sponsors, but the book itself also raises money. Everyone wins - BOOM.

If you're in a group of some kind (like a class, or a drama club, or a sports club, or a church, or anything) why not try to get some people in your group doing this challenge too! Together we can get people clean water.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
