It's almost birthday time! I love birthdays and celebrations and fun and cards! But this year I'm celebrating my birthday a bit differently. I don't want big celebrations or cards. I want clean water.

While on The World Race I saw women and children around the world spend precious time walking to get water from a community well. I saw women and children balance huge buckets that were filled to the brim with water walk back to cook and clean with that water. The worst thing though? I saw many of those same women and children sick because the water wasn't clean.

In Cambodia me and the majority of my team became very ill because the water we were drinking had worms in it. It was one of the most awful expereinces of my life.

And so this year I want to celebrate others and their lives. I want to make a difference and you can help me! Just $20 can give a person clean water to drink. I'm asking each person to donate $33 (in honor of turning 33 of course) to help others around the world celebrate their next birthday.

The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
