goal
Funny thing, is that none of us used to be much of runners, but over the course of the past few months, Redemption Runners has given us purpose to throw on our sneakers at 5 am every morning.
On June 5, we're going to run together in the Rock 'n Roll Half-Marathon in San Diego to raise $2,600.
Crazy right? Well there's actually a reason for all this.
We've realized that there's something we CAN do to help the millions of women and children who have to walk miles each day to retrieve water for their families, We've contemplated how most of that hard-earned water isn't even clean and can infect people with deadly diseases -about how 45,000 people die each day from waterborne illnesses.
That's why we run.
Our goal is to raise $2,600 for water projects. Because of charity: water's unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to water projects, and each donation is "proved" using Google Earth when projects are complete.
So we're not asking you to have to endure the running or crazy wake-up hours, we're asking you to simply give :)
With love from Australia
Have an epic race!
