Any chance I have 40 friends willing to share $40 to help the kids get clean drinking water?
As I hit age 40 today, I'd love to convert 40 or more Likes/RTs/stickers/+1s into $40-dollar donations to improve access to clean drinking water.
Why? Because if the 1st 24 hours of my 40s results in thousands of kids & adults able to live longer, healthier, ambitious, productive lives, a relatively arbitrary day actually becomes meaningful for others.
Millions of kids around the world don't live to see their 5th birthday because they don't have access to safe water. And simple campaigns like this can help drop that number.
I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. charity: water shows exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
Please help me reach my goal and donate to my birthday campaign!
Happy Belated Birthday! Great way to celebrate 40!
Happy Birthday!!!
Micah has partially funded 5 projects.
