Why Mohammad Nima Nafisi Bahabadi is fundraising for clean water

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. EVERY DAY, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. That means 511 thousand human beings die due to a lack of access to clean water. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Charity: water.
I have chosen this nonprofit because their mission does what I dreamed a charity could do one day!
Most importantly, I do this because I can not be happy if happiness is only for me just like I can not eat if I am the only one eating at the table; if a single human is suffering anywhere in my planet and I can help, why should I avoid it?
As my birthday gift, nothing can make me happier than this fundraiser reaching its goal of providing 10 people access to clean water.
Charity: water is a non-profit bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. In just ten years, we've funded more than 51,000 water projects in 28 developing countries. When complete, these projects will provide clean, safe drinking water for more than 11.2 million people! Nearly 785 million people in our world don’t have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. The good news: there are simple solutions, from deep drilled wells to water filtration systems. And with the help of 1,000,000+ donors and individual fundraisers, we're forming a strong force against the water crisis.
I started this fundraising campaign to help Charity water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
I believe we, as humans, must leave this world better than we found it at the beginning; however small, our fingerprint can have a positive, life-lasting impact in the universe and I want everyone who reads this to please join me on leaving the sweetest fingerprint of my life, right before my 19th birthday, in this world by saving lives!
By providing people with clean water, we have saved lives and this can be our life-lasting fingerprint in this world!
Please join me in making the "Let's save lives!" campaign reach its goal of providing access to clean water for 10 people (of course if we make more than the $400 goal of the fundraiser, even more people will gain access to clean water)!
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, Charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped (the most exciting part of it)!
Anything you give is greatly appreciated and can become a huge help by the end of the campaign (fundraiser), so donate regardless of the amount!
P.S: It is for sure a very tough time for everyone around the world and that is why I thought it is the perfect time to make this fundraiser! Donating during this frustrating period of time can make our soul feel better and it is much more valuable when it is done under unexpected circumstances like this.
