Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty.
Here in the United States, we use about 400 billion gallons of water each day. That means the average family of four is responsible for about 400 gallons per day!
But imagine if you had no clean water. Imagine sweating and straining to haul contaminated water back to your family. Imagine suffering from preventable illnesses like worms, dysentery or other diarrheal diseases.
Here I thought I was doing the world a favor by turning off the tap when I brushed my teeth.
After learning more about charity: water's work, I know I can make a dent in the global water crisis. I'm starting a campaign and in the next three months, I'm going to raise $5000 to build clean water projects for people in need.
I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
The great thing about donating to charity: water is that 100% of our money goes directly to the water projects, and when the projects are finished, they'll show us the communities we've helped.
