Bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in need is a cause that is close to our hearts here at OneRiot. Our CEO, Tobias Peggs went to school to be a Civil Engineer with the intention to graduate and work in developing countries to build systems that deliver clean drinking water to people in need. Then the internet got in the way. Tobias graduated in 1996, just as the consumer web was exploding. Now, almost 15 years after Tobias graduated, the opportunity to use the social web for social good has arrived. Tobias devised a plan to harness the power of the Twitter ecosystem and help give the gift of clean, safe drinking water to the one billion people worldwide that don’t have access to it.
Together, OneRiot and oneforty are leading an unprecedented Twitter ecosystem holiday giving campaign for Charity: Water.
