Why Other World Computing is fundraising for clean water

OWC is all about solutions, and charity: water is an exceptional solution for a tremendous need across the globe!

Imagine not having clean water right from a tap. Sweating and straining to haul water back from contaminated surface sources possibly hours away. Suffering preventable illnesses, diseases, parasites, even cancers as a result of this contaminated water.

Believe it or not, this is the reality for nearly 1 in 10 of us. 663 million people currently live without clean water.

Life changing, clean water is right beneath their feet. charity: water is the solution providing access to this.

Illness, disease, parasites, cancers - suffering that was a result of drinking from contaminated water sources are no more. Better health, more time in the day for education and building and bettering.

Clean water truly empowers independence and the opportunity to pursue one's potential. Not a band-aid for the day, this is the solution for generations.

100% of money donated goes directly to the water projects, and when the projects are finished, charity: water will show us the communities we've helped. And to sweeten the deal (and double your impact), after reaching our goal of $25,000, OWC will match dollar for dollar raised by the public.
