Hi,

We are a team of 7 people, all colleagues at BCG India. All of us in the team want to follow a fitness regime/reduce weight etc. But with all the things around and lack of motivation we tend to miss out on targets. Hence we thought if we can collectively meet our fitness goals and also do something good in the process.

We as a team take a pledge to run/walk 100kms per week, for the next two months, this target may seem trivial for some of you, but given our current baseline it will be a big task. We will post pictures and report on our progress regularly on this campaign page.

Under this campaign our team will meet our fitness goals with the target of crowd raising ~$2000 in 2 months.

This will not only give purpose for our runs but also since it is a collective goal- we will be able to push each other.

Why Clean Water?

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Why charity: water?

The charity works for Clean Water access to India, Africa and South America, they have funded 24,537 water projects for 7 million people around the world. All of this money has come from crowdfunding campaigns like ours. A 100% of the money raised goes to the projects and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. All the overheads at this organization are funded by separate donations.

I and my friend had fundraised for Charity Water in the past, by gifting his birthday and we raised ~$800 within 15 days from 16 generous friends, Today that money is able to give clean water to 33 people in Niger.
